About me:

I am proud product of the East Side of Toledo and the Toledo Public Schools, and I’m working hard to show the community that TPS is indeed the Best Place to Learn. Born to Victor and Carmen Ramirez, I am the youngest of six children . . . all of whom claim Toledo Public School’s Morrison R. Waite High School as their alma mater. My siblings include Hilda (‘78), Hector (‘80), Earl (‘82), Martin (‘84), and Jerry (‘88), and my parents still reside at the family home on the East Side. I have one daughter, Tiffany, and three grandsons: Kayden, Bryson and Xavier.

Other interests:

• On the Board for UAW local CAP (Community Action Program) Council
• The Old Newsboys Goodfellow Association as an officer and chairman of the relief committee
• A board member of the Toledo Exchange Club and the scholarship chairperson
• Board member of The Friendly Center and TASC (Treatment Alternatives to Street Crime)
• Past board member of YMCA, a CASA advocate, a member of the Point Place Business Association, United Way, Adelante, and United North

What I hope to do with this foundation:

Being a part of the ECPF allows me to continue my work within East Toledo and the TPS community. I truly see community activism as part of my responsibility to give back tenfold to the neighborhood that has given me so much. I hope to inspire others by giving back and continuing to strengthen programs within the community.

Eastside Community Pride Foundation Role:

  • Board member
  • Active volunteer and foundation supporter since 2019
